I bought a house recently and am looking for a roommate. It's a three-bedroom house (1350sq ft), and I am renting out just one of the rooms. So it would only be me and one other roommate living there.
Price is $600/month. That includes rent and all utilities (gas, electric, water, trash, and internet. I don't have tv and don't plan to get cable.) Requires a $200 security deposit and first month's rent. This is for a one-year lease. Move-in date can be flexible, but probably no earlier than July 15 or so.
About the house:
You would get the master bedroom - it's the largest bedroom (14 x 12ft) with attached private full bathroom and semi-walk-in closet. The dining room, kitchen (with fridge, dishwasher, microwave), living room, washer/dryer and over-sized two-car garage would be shared. There is also a nice patio in the back and a huge backyard. The house is furnished except for that one bedroom. It's a charming house built in 1940, but has really been updated and has new appliances. It's in Lafayette, in a quiet, well-established neighborhood. It takes me about ten minutes to drive to Purdue. There is public transportation right around the corner that would take you to downtown Lafayette.
About me:
I am female. I finished my master's degree a year ago and am now working at Purdue. I am in no way a party person, but I like to be social. I enjoy having friends over for dinner parties sometimes. I love to cook, and will likely inflict my cooking experiments on you. I like to hike, bike, and dance. I like to keep things neat and clean. I do not smoke or do drugs. I love to garden and am looking forward to starting a vegetable garden at the house.
I also have a cat: a five-year-old male who is super chill and really loves other cats.
About you:
Ideally, I am looking for a young professional or graduate student. It doesn't matter if you are male or female. This is not within walking distance of Purdue, so you must have a car if you are a student there. Smoking and drugs are not allowed on the property. If you have one other cat, that would be fine, but no dogs please. Like I mentioned, I like to keep things clean, so I would expect that from you too.
