We are subleasing our apartment on Fiedler lane, starting in November. We bought a house and are moving.
The apt features 3 bedrooms, one is slightly larger and holds a king bed, small night stand, dresser and desk. It has low pile carpet and a very large closet.
The living room and master bedroom have carpet and the rest of the house is tile and wood. The windows are about 4 years old, as are the appliances with the exception of the AC unit which was replaced about a month ago. The bathroom has a washer and dryer unit which is great. No more up and down the stairs, though there is extra coin operated laundry in the basement.
The kitchen is eat in and also has a door to a very large porch. There are only two units on this street with the large walk out porches and this is one. Plenty of space to relax, have a garden, etc. Pictures featured aren't of our exact unit but are similar and show the type of layout. The porch adds another 180 sq ft of living space.
There is parking in the back as well as street parking. The property is about 2 blocks from a bus stop that runs down to the UW and out to MATC. A 15-20 min bus ride to the UW for me and only a few blocks from an elementary school. The place is close to everything and the street is filled with families and young couples. We've been happy here for quite a while, but have decided that it's time for a house. I've never felt unsafe here and there has been one break in to a car in the 4 years we've lived here.
No pets are allowed. Sorry.
There are some qualifications that need to be met per the landlord. Please note that you must apply with them for the apartment, not with us. You can apply online at JEKproperties.com or stop by the office (1035 Fiedler Lane #11) for a paper application.
INCOME: 3 times the monthly rent (all income sources combined, including section 8)
RENTAL HISTORY VERIFICATIONS: We will verify with ALL previous landlords for ALL applicants. Any late payments, lease violations, evictions filed will effect eligibility. All addresses that show up while processing the application will need to be verified. If an applicant does not have a minimum of one year rental history, a co-signer will be required.
CRIMINAL HISTORY: Background check is completed. Charges that reflect a threat to real property, persons or the quiet enjoyment of other tenants will effect eligibility.
CREDIT CHECK: There must not be any utility bill in collections or amounts owed to previous landlords.
Quiet, safe street. Lots of families, young professionals and students.
